Lady Juul

Lady Juul is a 13 year old Brittany Spaniel. Lady has belonged to the Juul family of Bloomington since she was a puppy. 3 years ago, Lady was diagnosed with cancer of the intestines called leiomyosarcoma. She underwent surgery for a tumor removal, at which time it was discovered that the cancer had already spread to her liver. This is a slow growing cancer, but Lady was given a short life expectancy given the extent of the spread.

Lady, however, was not impressed with her poor prognosis. She has been treated with both traditional and herbal medicine since her diagnosis, and has proven to be an incredible survivor. She has had one additional surgery to remove a large tumor area from her liver that was compressing on her stomach, but has had no major procedures since then. Lady's current hospice therapy includes stomach soothing medications and herbal supplements. She experiences some days of discomfort, but mostly is in good spirits and enjoys her family tremendously, including Angel, the family cat. Lady's longevity definitely speaks to her character and to the dedicated care of her family. It is a privilege to work with Lady and be a part of her success. We love you Lady!
