Alisa joined South Hyland Pet Hospital in 2007 as a Client Services Representative. For many years she worked in Strategic Branding and Design, but a job at South Hyland Pet Hospital provided the opportunity to follow her passion – working with animals. In 2016, she graduated from The Academy for Dog Trainers with a Certificate of Training and Counseling (CTC). The Academy’s program is one of the most rigorous and advanced programs for dog behavior and training in the world. Alisa is the co-owner of The Dog Evolved, a dog training company based in Bloomington. The Dog Evolved takes a science based approach to training manners, solving behavior problems, and addressing fear and aggression. They provide one-on-one training as well as group classes for dogs of any age.
Also, Alisa is co-founder of the 501(c) 3 animal rescue, ACT V Rescue & Rehabilitation. She dedicates a majority of her time outside of South Hyland Pet Hospital to The Dog Evolved and ACT V Rescue. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Ron and two rescue dogs: Tahla, a German Shepherd and Skye, an American Eskimo mix.
